100 Things About Me - Part 1

1. Sunrise is my favorite time of day.
2. I think the best place to watch a sunrise is on the water or in the woods.
3. I'm in love with my best friend and she knows it.
4. I was a Cub Scout
5. I still have my Cub Scout uniform and all the merit pins and badges.
6. I still have my Cub Scout knife after 30 years
7. Up until last Christmas (2004) when my wife (see #3) gave me a new knife, I carried the Cub Scout knife every day.
8. I hate to paint. Walls, houses, cars, anything...I hate to paint.
9. I drink Coors Light. And usually drink every weekend starting on Thursday night.
10. I love to play No-Limit Texas Hold 'Em Poker.
11. I lose more money than I win at poker.
12. I'm left-handed.
13. I can start a fire with 2 sticks.
14. I can tie a cherry stem in a knot with my tongue.
15. I can sharpen any knife to a shaving edge in a matter of minutes.
16. I have to have the TP coming over the top of the roll.
17. I'm getting really tired of moving my daughter in and out of the house.
18. When I die, I want to be buried at sunrise. (See#1)
19. Tornadoes scare the hell out of me but that's about it.
20. I love to water ski, wakeboard and kneeboard.
21. I love to just ride my boat with my wife and dogs and sometimes invite as many of my friends as it will hold to join us. But I have just as much fun without them. (See #3)
22. I only fish because it's not hunting season.
23. I have broken both ankles...the left one twice.
24. Both times were riding (or wrecking) motorcycles. The right one was broken playing backyard football.
25. I still love to ride (not wreck) motorcycles.
26. I have had too many stitches to count.
27. I rarely go to the doctor to have stitches removed. I do it myself.
28. I rarely go to the doctor period.
29. I have driven a nail into a board with a .22 rifle from 75 feet. Twice.
30. Mix together a 4-wheeler, a cooler of beer, my wife and myself and you have a Sunday afternoon that's hard to beat.
31. My wife can outshoot me with a pistol.
32. I love the way the air feels when a hurricane is brewing in the Gulf.
33. I don't like the beach.
34. My wife loves the beach.
35. I had to work on the beach for 2 days a week, every week for almost 6 years.
36. I really, really don't like the beach.
37. 2005 was the first year in many that we didn't go to the beach, not even once.
38. If you ask my opinion on a matter, I'll probably tell you what I really think.
39. Tell me you want me to sugar-coat it before you ask my opinion.
40. I have a quick wit and a sharp tongue.
41. Both get me in trouble. A lot.
42. I'm typjng this list in between coats of paint in my daughter's bedroom. (See #8, then #17)
43. The sky fascinates me at times.
44. I think the space program is over-funded.
45. I'm all for the ethical treatment of animals.
46. I think PETA has become an extremist group with a cult-like following.
47. I love red meat. Medium rare.
48. I think old people tell the best stories if you'll just sit and listen to them.
49. I rarely have hangovers, no matter how much I drink.
50. I think I need another beer before finishing the painting. (See#42)

There. Part 1 is complete. Maybe this will help someone (or No One) find out a little more about me and may just spark a few readers from time to time. I think I may just be getting the hang of this now.
