Whew!!
It's been a hectic week or two. I've been getting everything ready for a big meeting in the morning and it has just been taking up most of my home computer time. That, and the fact that my daughter is on it constantly now with schoolwork.
We (the wife and I) went to the lake last weekend for a bit of fishing and just overall R&R. I caught a few decent fish but tossed them all back. My wife caught several smaller ones but released them as well. Here's a few images we took from the water.
These birds kept hanging around eating the dead minnows that we were tossing overboard.
So we started feeding them Pringles and Cheez-its. And they really started hanging around then.
Ya' think they might be biting here? We fished for a few minutes here but moved on pretty quickly.
Here's a couple of pics of the setting sun that I snapped. This one was about 20 minutes before it started to actually set.
And this one was as we were headed back in.
Anyone know how long it takes the sun to disappear once it hits the horizon? Maybe you should spend just one afternoon waiting for it...watching the colors change constantly...and when the bottom of it touches the treetops, water, or whatever else it's falling behind...start counting. You'll be surprised at how brief it really is. Want me to go ahead and tell you?
About 35 seconds or so.
That's it. Time it for yourself. I've sat many a night and counted it down. It's the one thing I look forward to every afternoon. They are like snowflakes. Never two alike. But each one amazingly beautiful.
We're supposed to be going back to the lake tomorrow afterI get done with my meeting. Maybe something interesting will happen to post about. If not, there's always sundown.

That lake is beautuful. I guess you can get some good r&r in a place like that.
