As promised....
I mentioned in my last post that I would try to post some photos of me doing the second best thing that can be done while wet and half-nekkid. These are from Sunday. The day after I swore off skiing for the rest of the weekend. Turns out, I felt better after I skied, but even worse on Monday morning. Oh well...I guess I just need to keep it up to work the right muscles.
Standing in about 4 feet of water, getting ready to go...

This is just as I got up .... (I took the libery of hiding the 6-pack abs so as not to swoon the ladies and make the guys envious. Riiiiight. More like a keg than a 6-pack.)

I've leveled off, switched sides of the wake, and about to cross the wake again

Notice the amount of water being kicked up by the skis? That's because I'm only going about 30-32 MPH right here and the rear of the skis are still basically below the water surface.

This is where the fun part starts. The boat is turning left and I swing to the outside of the turn. It will slingshot you around and nearly double your speed due to the laws of centrifugal force.

Notice the amount of spray now as opposed to the first pics? I would probably estimate my speed here right around 60-65 MPH. The skis are barely skimming the water now.

What a rush!! It only lasts for a few seconds but it's fun while it lasts. Although, with the pressure it puts on your arms and legs, it's probably a good thing it only lasts a few seconds.

Not too bad for an old fat guy, eh? I'll try to post some wakeboarding and kneeboarding pics later. That's where the real fun is. There's lots more tricks and stuff to do on those.
Alrighty, time to go take a few more Advil and call it a night. Hope you all have a good evening.

Looking like a champ to me! Whoo hooo! I'm envious of your skiing ability. I'd break my neck and leg too if I tried it! Good times at the lake! :) Thanks for sharing the pics!
I could never really get the hang of that when I lived in FL. I envy you.
Looks like so much fun! I can't wait to get out on the water!
Sorry, but if you can ski, then you are not an old fat guy.
Sounds like a lot fun. I can't ski to save my life. I've tried, just can't do it.
I LOVE cutting out of the wake on a sharp turn!! Bear down and hang on!!! It really is a rush to be barely on the water like that. Until you fall while you're out there. Looking good out there tho! Can't wait to see the board pics.
