You can rest when you're dead.

It's going to be a busy weekend around here. It's actually already started. I got up about 4AM this morning and wasted my time went turkey hunting . We tried 3 different spots and couldn't even find a single bird to set up on. I'm guessing the severe weather that rolled through about 2:30 might have had something to do with it. Jake and Henrietta were disappointed about as much as I was. They were anxious to meet another turkey that might be interested in a threesome. But I guess that's why it's called "hunting" and not "shooting". So I swung by and grabbed some breakfast for the wife and myself and was back home by 7.

In less than 10 hours we'll be kicked back down by the river enjoying a few dozen "adult refreshments" and tapping our toes to the sounds of Susan Haynes, Cowboy Crush (proud and hot members of the "Hillbilly Nation"), Rhett Akins (of "Kiss my Country Ass" fame), the pride of the Traler Park, Jamey Johnson (yes, his web board is spelled Traler Park, that wasn't a typo), John Conlee and Josh Turner. I'm kinda anxious to see Josh Turner perform. He's got some pretty good songs on the radio and I do recall someone saying that he put on a good show the last time she saw him in concert. We've got reservations at the hotel just up the hill from the amphitheater so it's only a 5-minute walk (or 10-minute stagger) back to the room afterwards.

We plan on getting up early on Sunday and heading back home just long enough to drop off a few things and change clothes. Then it's off to the lake for the rest of the day. And depending on how much we party nice the weather is, we may even stay until Monday.

So as you can see, I need to get up and get busy. I still need to go wash the truck and pick up all the limbs and pine cones that the storm blew down last night. I hope you all have a good weekend and maybe I'll have plenty of photos to post when it's all over.
