Sometimes....
I think I'd forget my ass if it wasn't attached. Remember me telling ya'll we were going to the show on Saturday night? We did. And it was a great show indeed. And guess what I left in the room? My camera!
I didn't think even think about it until we were at the gates about to walk in. I asked my wife if she had it and she said it was in the other bag back at the room. D'oh!! How could I have left the camera? I have no excuse other than I was not really paying attention. My wife TOLD me which bag it was in back at the room. I knew it. And walked out and left it anyway. Dammit.
But the concert was kick-ass. Billy Currington is a really good performer. To say he just stands there and sings is a gross understatement. He's back and forth from one side of the stage to the other. Dancing and interacting with the crowd front and center. He's constantly asking the fans for opinions. My favorite song of the night was called "Turnip Greens". Actually, it's called "Good Directions", but it should be called "Turnip Greens".
Sara Evans is a crowd-please too. And one thing I'll say for her. She ain't skeered to shake that booty atcha. I think she spenty as much time with her ass to the crowd as she did her face. (Not that I minded in the least) She puts on a really good show too. I still say "No Place That Far" is the best song she's ever done. It's just one of those songs that's too real-life to not be a favorite.
We came home today about noon and went down to the lake for the afternoon. Just hung out with the gang. I did teach a couple of people to get up on the kneeboard off the sandbar. Rode it once myself in the process. We plan on going back early in the morning and having breakfast with the "overnight gang" that stayed down there tonight and maybe get a little slick water skiing in before the holiday crowd starts piling in. I'll remember the camera tomorrow and maybe we'll have a few pics to show from the lake anyway. I've been toying with the idea of a video but haven't really got my mind made up yet. What do you all think? Any interest in seeing a fat boy cutting a top-water jig?
Hope you all have a good holiday weekend.
