Who knows??

After tonight's American Idol show, it's a toss-up. Even the folks over here can't say for sure this week. Kat and Elliot are separated by less than one-quarter of one point, with a margin of error well over 1 full point.

Taylor is, and has been a lock for the finals for a long time now. That's all I can say about him. He's been the top vote-getter every week but one since they narrowed the field to 12. He did very well on all three songs and the judges had nothing but high praise for him. Simon was even clapping!! Go figure.

But who's going to be on the other side of the coin when Seacrest flips it next week?

Elliot showed tonight why he is still in the competition. He does have a great voice and the dude really can sing. But (the dreaded "but") I really believe that Katharine sang well enough to edge him out of second place and out of the finals. She may not have done so well on the last song but the first two were outstanding, with "Somewhere Over the Rainbow" deserving a Grammy.

So...for my weekly prediction: Elliot has the bad day tomorrow and Taylor and Kat sing live at the Kodak Theatre next Tuesday night. But this is the closest one yet. So close even I voted three times, and I never vote. Gotta do my part, ya know.

Tune in tomorrow night. Everyone except Trick, and she'll probably be watching Alias or something. Which is fine with me most nights. Jennifer Garner is a hottie!!
