Well Worth Sharing
I actually heard this for the first time Wednesday on a "New Music Showdown" on a local radio station. They pick 2 new songs to play and then the listeners vote on who will be the champ to do battle tomorrow with a new challenger.
Clint Black's new single "Heartache" was toting the mail until they played this one. Then he was knocked out like a fat kid in dodgeball.
I was tempted to draft this and save it for Flag Day next Wednesday. But the more I heard it, the more I thought it would be better to post it now, BEFORE Flag Day and maybe stir a little patriotism that might not otherwise be displayed. Give it a listen and I think you'll see why.
One thing all of you rock/rap/heavy metal fans have to admit...country music stands behind this country. Probably moreso than any other music genre. If you don't believe that, just ask Natalie from "The Dixie Chicks". I'm sure you all remember the stink she stirred up over the war. They had to run off and do a European tour while things cooled off around here.
I'd like to take this time to thank all the men and women that have done and are still continuing to do "what they have to do." And to wish nothing but the best of everything for them and the ones they leave behind while they do it.

I agree 100%....and to tell the truth, I was kind of glad to see them leave
All the best to our men and women over there and their families!
That's a beautiful song that stirred some emotions in me. You see, I was wounded exactly three years later on the 8th of November 1968 along with six others in my squad. Fortunately, none of us died that day.
I have loved this song from the first time I heard it on Launch radio. I am proud to be one of those you speak of that stand behind the troops. I may not agree with the decisions made by the ones above them, but I'll never waver support for the ones carrying out those decisions, whether good or bad.
I've had this cd for a while now. It's a great song & reminds us of important things that we shouldn't forget.
Speechless. Thank you for sharing.
Thanks to all who have and are serving.
