The Big Bang Theory
Logic: If you adjust the camera to the "Fireworks" setting and follow the recommendation to "Steady camera for best results" by using a tripod, you should be able to successfully take shots of the mid-air beauty of a fireworks show.
Reason: The camera manufacturers have calculated the most acceptable shutter speed to capture the incendiary fragments as they burn vividly in the night sky and the slower shutter speed requires that the camera be held motionless for the entire exposure time for optimum results.
Truth: That's all BULLSHIT!!
I went to the local fireworks show last night and done everything according to the directions to try and make some nice pictures. Proper camera settings? Check! Tripod? Check! Stable platform for the tripod? Check! Cameraman readyyyyy? (Cameraman nods) Ignitor readdyyyyyyy? (Ignitor nods)
Let's get it on!!!!
Oooooooo.......Ahhhhhhhhhh.....Oooooooo, that one's pretty.
I took about 60 pictures and maybe (MAYBE) 6 of them look like fireworks. The rest look like something you'd see after

I'm anxious to see what you turned out with -- I took pics of fireworks with my cell phone and they turned out amazingly well -- even did a video with it. We'll have to compare! :)
I bet they turned out better than my pics! I didn't even have the directions with me, so I didn't know how to find the "fireworks" setting, if there is one on my camera.
Funny post, even if you did leave the important part at work :P
Were you holding your mouth right? lol
We'll judge them, just get them posted.
