Bring on the rain...And it ain't gonna be All That

And I'm not talking about Trick and her recent drought.

I'm talking about the fact that we're about 9 inches below the normal amount of rainfall for this time of the year. Yet it seems to rain everywhere but at my house. On the way home this afternoon, it rained right up to about 15 miles from my house and then....that was it. It just quit. As it was clearing, I noticed a double rainbow. I just happened to have the camera with me so I pulled over and snapped a few pics.


The second one doesn't really show all that well but if you look closely, you can see it above and to the left of the first one. As a reference point, it looks like it comes to the ground at the end of the chicken house on the left. And for all of you that aren't familiar with chicken houses....that would be the long low barn-looking building.

America's Got Talent just pissed me off, too. They (the viewing audience) voted the little yodeling girl to move on? Puh-leeze! I don't care if she is cute as a button. I don't care if she did teach herself to yodel from a cassette tape and paperback booklet. And I don't care if she is a good yodeler. Yodeling don't deserve to win anybody $1.000.000. That's like playing the bagpipes and winning a Grammy for Song of the Year. The 1st runner-up was the clogging group, All That. Now that was a talented group of guys. Perfct rhythm, start to finish. Even while moving into several different formations. Can you even imagine all the practice they endured to get that good? These guys were clicking and popping til the sweat poured off of them a long time before last night and it shows. I'm watching next week for the next semi-finalist and if the hot chick with the great body that would even make Stretch Armstrong lose his jelly archery skills better make it into the final rounds. If she don't make it and Lil' Swiss Miss does...I'm finding me a new show to watch.

And I guess while I'm here, I could go ahead and ask you all to pray for rain to end the drought. There's a bad joke just lying there about how getting 9 inches would make things better for a lot of people but I'll leave that one be. =)
