My new Idol?
Since American Idol wrapped up, I've been sort of bouncing from show to show but never really locking onto any one thing. Last week, I think I may have found my new "Idol." Just in time for the semi-finals too.
"America's Got Talent" is way more than just an upscaled "Star Search". (do y'all even remember Star Search? Damn, I'm getting old) And not just the amount of the prize money, which, by the way, is only $1,000,000. Some of these acts are really good. But like the eliminations for Idol, there's a few that got cut short by the judges. You can go to the link here and check out videos of the past performances.
Just a quick rundown of my faves right now: (not in order of preference)
The ventriloquist (and his 2 birds)
The quick change couple (I wonder if she gives lessons in getting dressed in under 40 minutes?)
The clogging guys (it's unbelievable at how in synch they are while moving all around the stage)
The contortionist chick (hey, she shoots a bow and arrow with her feet! Come on! Besides, what red-blooded male doesn't dig a hot babe that can bend like that?)
The Miller Brothers (Man, can that 12 year-old kid blow a harmonica!)
OK, I think my wife is off the phone now and I can go resume watching. Don't you just LOVE TiVo? Well, those of you that have it, anyway?

I thought the Miller brothers were really good & those clogger dudes have got it down, even if they aren't all that cute. (Too weird to hear those hick voices come out of them when they look like that, too!)
But you left off the yodeling girl, Leonid, & Hoopalicious!!
So when does Idol start back up?
i liked American Idol this year! usually i don't watch it, but this year...
I saw one episode of america's got talent and couldn't take anymore... reminded me of the old Gong show. Am i dating myself REALLY bad there? anyway - too much....
i don't have Tivo - will you get it for us?
I saw the first few acts and fell asleep. Not from boredom, just tired as hell. I liked the dudes from All That...they were kinda hot! Until they said something...the voice didn't match the look fo' sho'.
why do you have to rub that Tivo shit in all the time....geesh!
Even women can appreciate a hot chick that can bend that way
