Lawbreakers Beware!!
This is just a warning to any wannabe hoodlums that might even think about trying to hide out in White Oak Shores, Alabama:
Don't even think about it!! Lest ye be prepared to face the unyielding wrath of the local authorities.
The stealth and agility of this man are matched by few and surpassed by none.
Look into the steely eyes and fear him.

We went over there this weekend and stayed with friends through Sunday morning. There were a couple of highs and lows.
High: I finally got the new ignition switch in the boat and it ran beautifully.
Low: Right up until the motor that trims the outboard up and down quit trimming it down.
High: I don't think this repair will be very costly or time-consuming.
Low: No matter the simplicity of the repair, the boat is again resting peacefully in the shed, awaiting repair. This is not the fun part of owning a boat.
High: I helped my buddy clear some brush from the ditch on either side of his drive and it looks 100% better.
Low: I now have poison ivy on both arms, among other places.
We came home early Sunday because my wife had a funeral to attend. A co-worker from several years ago And friend for many more years) lost her husband to cancer on Friday. I stayed home and got all the yardwork finished while she did that.
My brother-in-law brought his boys over for a swim in the pool yesterday. I was working on a little project under the carport when they drove up. No sooner had the boys gotten to the edge of the pool, when they came running back yelling, "There's a snake in the pool! A baby one!"
So I walk out there and sure enough, there is a snake in the pool. If you are a devout member of the SPCA, please find comfort knowing that the demise was swift and, most assuredly, as painless as humanly possible. Not that I give a rat's ass, so long as it ended up dead. I think it might have been a water moccasin, but I'm not sure. What I am sure of is that I don't have to worry about that particular snake getting in the pool again. Or biting me or the wife next time we decide to go for a moonlight swim. We've found one snake in the pool each year since we've lived here. I guess we're good for another year now. Why can't I just have crazy squirrels in my pool like Julie has?
So that's the weekend in a nutshell. Exciting, huh?
Speaking of nutshells, anyone know any good remedies for poison ivy?

Erm, EEEWWW, ok, I really hate snakes. I would have lost my bloody mind swimming with one *willies*:-).
That is so weird. Last night I had a random dream about baby snakes swimming in the water.
LMFAO at that pic!! Is that a real badge? Or the plastic kind that comes with the capgun sets?
That sux about the boat and the poison ivy in ummm..."other places" *giggle*
And I think finding the snake would likely curtail my moonlight swims.
Yep, he looks like he could be lethal. I'll be sure to follow all the rules if I ever enter his territory! Did his name happen to be Barney?
They showed that episode of Grey's again this week...the one where Addison gets poison ivy/oak/whatever on her....self. She used an ice pack - maybe that would help. heeheehee
