HNT 2
Back in July, we bought a new truck. It came with a 3-month introductory subscription to XM Radio. We listened to XM 5-10 times more than the FM stations . About 3-4 weeks ago, the wife and I left to go somewhere and the XM didn't work. All we got was the Intro station and some other off-the-wall BS station. The free trial was over. We hadn't been 30 minutes out of the driveway before she was on the cell calling the XM "hook me back up" line. I'm telling you, it's like crack. Addictive as hell. I used to drive a truck and knew just when and where I'd have to change stations to keep out of the static. We went to Nashville and back with the XM and never changed the station once. It's pretty cool.
.
I snapped this pic with my cell phone while on my way to work the other day. And before you call me a banker for going to work at 10:30 in the morning, I had to go to the dentist at 8 for a cleaning (no cavities!!) and this was afterwards. Aren't I the model employee for even going in that day?
For my HNT this week, I want to show you my favorite XM station.

Station #16 - Highway 16
They play the latest country hits and a lot of the songs from the newer albums that haven't been released as singles for "normal" radio air-time. They have really good interviews with the artists, too. They'll discuss all the album details and some of the stories behind certain songs. It's more than just music. It's real entertainment. There's also 253 more channels with everything from Showtunes to Disney to Comedy to News. Oh yeah, and a NASCAR channel too. What's not to love about it?
Happy HNT and be sure to tell Os if you played along this week.

Glad you like your XM Radio!!
HHNT :)
Nice....I see you're wearing an orange shirt. I'd like to imagine it's for the Vols, but I'm sure it's for another team that favors an orangish color...
I love the way you can see your reflection in the pic.
Yeah, that satellite radio is ADDICTIVE ;)

Chuck, I imagine you're right! That's AU orange. ;)
That's a cool reflection shot. And XM is a nice thing to have. But shouldn't you have both hands on the wheel? 10 & 2?
Happy HNT!

Oh, I see you! I listen to that station all the time, but on my TV! We have XM with our DirecTV & when no one else is home, it's cranked UP!

Cool pic and reflection there. Can't say that I'm a fan of the orange but hey I guess everyone can't be perfect! hehe
