Christmas HNT - Phase 2 of 3
In accordance to the plans for Phase 2 of the HNT Plans for Christmas which suggests that I pick 3 HNT/Bloggers and list the gift that I would choose for each of them.
My three picks are:
1) The first one that jumped out at me was MG. I started reading her blog some time ago and I've tried to keep up with things over there. The majority of her posts are fun and upbeat with the occasional rant that we all post at one time or another. Lately it seems that she has been faced with a few situations/decisions that have caused her to have to really dig deep inside herself looking for all the "right answers". My gift to her would one "do-over", redeemable at will to erase any moment in time and all the after-effects resulting from it. Hopefully, this would allow her to either change something that has happened, or to step out there and try something new with no worries about negative fallout.
2) The second wish goes to a new blogger that I've been reading for the past few weeks, thanks to Os and his friendly reminders. Her name is Teri. She's a young lady starting a new life in a new place all on her own. That alone would be enough to keep the stress levels right up around the breakdown mark. Add to that this post, and things could easily begin to get even more stressful. My little brother has served 3 tours in Iraq already and will probably be going back sometime in the Spring of '07. I know well the anxiety associated with having a loved one in harm's way 24/7. My wish for her would be a safe return for her brother, preferrably with all of his military comrades in tow and healthy.
3) I struggled with finding a third HNT/Blogger that would fall into the confines of the rules set forth for the week's theme. Scrolling through the list of HNT blogs I noticed that all of the ones that I have been reading were highlighted in purple. This made it a little easier to focus. I noticed a blog that I haven't read in a while but clicked on it just to maybe read a bit and catch up on the latest happenings. It didn't take very long to remember why I enjoyed reading this blog. She is one of the most intelligent, most versatile women I think I have read to date. She can spit out a complete psycho-analysis of Creation vs. evolution so deep that it will make you rethink your own interpretations, take a deep breath, tell us about her parenting woes with a hormonal son and, in the very next breath, speak of the NHL in such a manner as to make one want to suit up before morning. And all of this while battling a terrible disease that turns her own body against itself. A befitting gift to such a strong-minded woman would be the cure for Lupus. But from reading more and more of her blog, I dare say she would probably see to it that many others were cured before she accepted the cure herself. She seems that compassionate to the plight of her fellow sufferers. I'm sure most of you have figured out by now that this last wish goes to none other than the Queen of Ass.
This was a lot harder than I thought it would be and almost made me not even participate. But it really makes you think of the people behind the words on the screen and wonder what they would really enjoy for a holiday gift from a stranger.
I'd like to wish all of you a very Merry Christmas and best wishes for the holiday season and beyond.

Such thoughtful gifts. I gave Teri the same thing and Os did too. Never too many well wishes for that, though.
