Idol go South!!

This is Season 6 of American Idol. The first two auditions were held in Minneapolis and Seattle. They both showed little promise of anything Idol-worthy.

A little something to ponder:

Texas offered up the first (and currently most successful) Idol ever, Kelly Clarkson.

Alabama has produced two Idols, Ruben Studdard and Taylor Hicks. And also a first runner-up with Bo Bice.

North Carolina has Fantasia Barrino as their very own Idol.

Oklahoma sent Carrie Underwood to instant fame as CMA's Horizon Award winner and Female Vocalist of the Year after winning Idol 5.

Six southerners. Five 1/2 American Idols. Coincidence? I think not.

The next audition is in Memphis, TN. I'll bet the farm we'll see some real talent from there. The bluesy, black gospel influence is prevalent throughout the region and that's the stuff that has made 4 of the 5 Idols really stand out.

Time will tell. One thing for sure. It can't get much worse.

TGIB, Out.

OMG. Did you see the mom and daughter that looked like twins -- daughter was in a gold top and had to have been DD and didn't have a stitch of a bra on -- and folks - this aint the DD that you mind seeing without a bra! OMG. I was disgusted. Sheez. Where do these people hide during the off season? Ug.

I love this show. I've laughed my ass off for 2 nights straight. And you're right -- the South kicks ass with Idols! :)

I kept waiting for her to tuck them DD's into her pants. EW! And no, I don't wish my gf was "hot" like her!

Such freaks in Seattle!
